Get free credit card points

Standard

If you like to collect credit card points for travel, shopping or cash back, the quickest and easiest way is to sign up for a card that is having a promotion. For example, the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card is currently offering 2x points on travel & dining and a 50,000 point sign up bonus after you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.

Spending $4,000 in three months is challenging for a lot of people and you don’t want to rack up unnecessary spending to get the bonus points. The best way is to direct the spending you are already doing to the current credit card you are trying to earn your bonus on.

Let’s be smart about this as well, as some businesses will charge you an extra fee to use a credit card. One is PECO (currently $2.35) . This has bothered me for awhile, but I have found a way around it and become more carbon-neutral at the same time. Let Arcadia Power pay your PECO bill with a credit card and get those points for free.

  • Use clean energy at no extra cost

Support renewable energy projects at no extra cost, reducing your impact on the environment every month.

  • Automatically save

When a lower rate is available in your area, we automatically get it for you with our price alerts program. No commitments or binding contracts, just savings.

  • Forget bill pay fees, earn points

95% of utilities charge transaction fees when using a credit or debit card. Pay $0 in fees and earn your rewards points when you sign up.

What’s the catch? None really, but be aware they will try to upsell you on some services, but nothing too annoying.

In addition to PECO, be sure to move all of you fee-free bills to the credit card you are trying to earn your bonus on. Some examples a lot of people use are:

Cell Phone
Netflix
Cable/Internet/Phone
