Today I sold half of my position in The Chubb Corporation (CB). I bought back in May of 2010 at $47.09 (adjusted for dividends) and sold today for $97.50.
I always sell half of my position when I have doubled my money. It guarantees that I cannot lose money on that position.
This week, I initiated a position in Roche Holding AG (RHHBY). I am no expert in the pharmaceuticals industry, but I like the overall direction of healthcare related stocks. Whether you love or hate Obamacare, it looks like overall spending on healthcare will increase because of it. I put a 25% trailing stop on this position.
There is a lot of good smack talk going around for this year’s Iron Bowl. There is a lot on the line. Alabama is going for its 3rd national title in a row. Auburn is not out of the picture with a #4 BCS ranking.
Alabama fans are pretty confident, yet some are worried about Auburn’s hurry-up-no-huddle (HUNH) offense. They really shouldn’t be. Alabama is better at pretty much every position this year and the winner of the Iron Bowl is almost always the favorite. Upsets are rare.
So I wandered into the world of creating animated gifs. Here is my first one…
I have seen these “Negged” gifs on Bodybuilding.com and always wanted to create one. This was Tony Allen kicking Chris Paul in the face.
I used the free tool GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) to edit the gif. It is pretty tough to learn but not impossible if you keep at it.
