Another stock in my portfolio doubles

Standard

Today I sold half of my position in The Chubb Corporation (CB). I bought back in May of 2010 at $47.09 (adjusted for dividends) and sold today for $97.50.

I always sell half of my position when I have doubled my money. It guarantees that I cannot lose money on that position.

This week, I initiated a position in Roche Holding AG (RHHBY). I am no expert in the pharmaceuticals industry, but I like the overall direction of healthcare related stocks. Whether you love or hate Obamacare, it looks like overall spending on healthcare will increase because of it. I put a 25% trailing stop on this position.
